Llao Llao Hill

This relax outing offers the possibility to explore and access scenic views. The day starts close to Llao Llao Hotel, one of the most popular sites in Northern Patagonia. Here you will hike across the Natural Reserve of Peninsula Llao Llao, an area destined to protect and preserve a beautiful old growth evergreen Southern Beech and Cypress forest.

You will get to see an example of the “Arrayan” forest, a peculiar type of Myrtle tree with its characteristic reddish brown bark. Following the trail continues the way towards Villa Tacul and it’s crystal clear bays, great place to taste your home-made box lunch and share the tradition of “mate” tea. During the afternoon the hike climbs to the top of LLao Llao hill with its beautiful views and surprising flora filled with orchids and native lilies. Descending the trail will cross back the Peninsula towards your starting point drawing a loop covering 10km with an altitude gain of 200mts. This trek will also provides you the opportunity to visit the famous Llao Llao Hotel and San Eduardo Chapel. A perfect option for people who enjoy longer walks but do not necessary need to challenge themselves up a big climb.
